The Philadelphia Phillies are officially rolling, and are doing so on the back of their two generational-bats – Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper.
Sunday was Schwarber’s day, as he hit his MLB-leading 30th home run of the season to power the Phils to a 5-4 win over the New York Mets. After starting 9-19 and firing manager Rob Thompson on April 28, the Phillies are now 10-games about .500 and just three behind the Atlanta Braves in the National League East under the leadership of Don Mattingly.
Schwarber and Harper have combined for 49 dingers already this season, and both are on pace to join the 400-HR club at some point during the campaign. With both players already 33 years old, each season heaps more pressure on the franchise to win with two of the games most prolific power hitters.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Schwarber’s 569 extra base hits rank 22nd among active MLB players. With that being said, can you name every active player with at least 500 extra base hits under their belt?
