Now that Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season is in the books, it’s time for an incredibly meaningful and serious exercise: NFL Power Rankings! What differentiates these rankings from all others is that they’re THE only truly accurate ones in the entire universe. Hard to believe, I know. But it’s true. Let’s take a look at how all 32 teams stack up.
BLG’S WEEK 6 NFL POWER RANKINGS
1 – Kansas City Chiefs (Last Week: 1) – The Chiefs return from their bye to host the winless Chargers on Sunday. Andy Reid is 22-5 directly after the bye.
2 – San Francisco 49ers (LW: 2) – Brock Purdy (+300) has moved slightly behind Josh Allen (+250) in MVP odds with the Niners picking up a big win over an NFC West rival. They’re the top dog in the conference in addition to their division.
3 – Seattle Seahawks (LW: 3) – There’s no major shame in narrowly losing to this 49ers team. Especially if they can quickly bounce back with a win over Denver on Thursday night.
4 – Baltimore Ravens (LW: 4) – The Ravens entered Week 5 as 3.5-point road underdogs with Lamar Jackson out … and beat Atlanta in overtime. Gutsy effort to keep them alive for the top spot in the AFC.
5 – Buffalo Bills (LW: 5) – Josh Allen finished 15 yards shy of setting a new single-game rushing total as he ran over the Rams’ defense for a big overtime win.
6 – Minnesota Vikings (LW: 6) – Despite the fact that their offense isn’t very good, the Vikings keep winning. Of course, it helps that they’ve faced one of the easier schedules in the league. Moving forward, Minnesota has the NFL’s toughest remaining strength of schedule.
7 – Chicago Bears (LW: 7) – The Bears got blown out … but it was their first loss since Caleb Williams hasn’t been able to start. And it sounds like he could return in Week 6. So, I think the Bears will be just fine.
8 – Los Angeles Rams (LW: 8) – People like to clown on the Rams for starting 2-3 because they were the preseason favorite. They’re surely frauds, right? Unfortunately, that’s not the case. If it was, they wouldn’t still be favored to win the Super Bowl.
9 – Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 10) – The Jags narrowly pulled out a win over the Eagles in London. They’re sitting pretty at 4-1 in the AFC South with the next closest team being the 2-3 Colts. Jacksonville has the NFL’s easiest remaining strength of schedule in no small part due to their division being pretty bad.
10 – Detroit Lions (LW: 12) – The Lions’ defense continues to be suspect but that offense sure can cook.
11 – Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 13) – The Bengals picked up a free win by beating the worst team in the NFL.
12 – New England Patriots (LW: 14) – Burying Drake Maye after the Pats’ blowout loss to the Jags was premature; he has seven touchdown passes to one interception over the past two weeks. And it sounds like A.J. Brown will be back soon.
13 – Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 11) – The Raiders have lost two in a row following their 3-0 start. And now they have the Bills and Rams next. They’re clearly in danger of dropping below .500.
14 – Dallas Cowboys (LW: 9) – Dallas entered Week 5 as 9.5-point home favorites against an undrafted rookie quarterback making his first career road start … on a short week. The Cowboys lost by eight points. One way to describe that performance? Embarrassing.
15 – Denver Broncos (LW: 16) – The Broncos beat a winless Bolts team.
16 – Carolina Panthers (LW: 18) – The Panthers return from their bye to play the Eagles, who’ve lost three straight, in Philly. They’ll have a significant rest advantage in this matchup with their opponent coming off international travel from London.
17 – New York Giants (LW: 17) – If you told Giants fans before the season that they’d only lose one of their first five games … while Jaxson Dart suffers a season-ending injury … I’m pretty sure they would’ve signed up for that! While they’re not a threat to contend for a Super Bowl this season, they’re at least giving their fans some excitement, which they’ve been starved of for a long time now.
18 – Green Bay Packers (LW: 23) – It looked like the Packers were in pretty rough shape after losing that Thursday night game to Atlanta while at home. Since then, they’ve bounced back with two wins, including a blowout over the Bears. Maybe they’re righting the ship.
19 – Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 15) – I feel like I’m lower on the 2026 Eagles than my ranking would suggest here. They’re benefiting from the benefit of the doubt I was giving them earlier in the season. While I do think there’s hope for defensive improvement, the offense stinks so bad. Overall, it’s a weird team. They’re not far off from being 4-1 but they’re also pretty close to being 0-5.
Are the Eagles closer to 4-1 or 0-5?
I’ve seen a decent amount of “The Eagles are only a few plays away from being 4-1.”
Which is true!
But they’re also only a few plays away from being 0-5.
Which of these two “almost” records do you see the 2-3 Eagles being closer to?

20 – Atlanta Falcons (LW: 19) – The Falcons with Michael Penix? Intriguing. The Falcons with Tua Tagovailoa? No thanks!
21 – New Orleans Saints (LW: 20) – Remember when it seemed like the Saints might be on the rise? Well, now they’re at the bottom of the NFC South. And only above Arizona in the NFC playoff picture.
22 – Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 24) – The Steelers are going to keep their non-losing season streak going, aren’t they?
23 – Indianapolis Colts (LW: 21) – No one is taking the Colts seriously.
24 – Houston Texans (LW: 26) – The Texans are finally on the board with a win! Helped that they got to play the winless Titans. I’m not expecting the Marvin Harrison Jr. trade to work out for them. The precedent for high draft picks getting traded early into their careers isn’t encouraging.
25 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 27) – Seems like Jalon Daniels can play a little bit?
26 – New York Jets (LW: 28) – It wasn’t pretty but the Jets beat a Browns team that had won three games in a row. That’s not nothing.
27 – Cleveland Browns (LW: 22) – Deshaun Watson turned in his worst game of the season. That’s a shame.
28 – Washington Commanders (LW: 25) – It’s rare that a single play should warrant a head coach getting fired. But Dan Quinn (and Jayden Daniels) botching that end of game scenario was unconscionable. The Commanders really ran the clock out on themselves in a spot where a win could’ve revived their season. Instead, they’re 1-3-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the division. Looking like a lost year.
The Commanders’ Tie Sure Felt Like A Loss | Mixtape Mini
No one can feel good after a tie in the NFL and that’s even more true of the Washington Commanders this week.
How should their end-of-overtime game management disaster against the New York Giants be viewed?
Bleeding Green Nation’s Brandon Lee Gowton and Blogging The Boys’ RJ Ochoa discuss the Commanders in a new “Mixtape Mini” video clip!

29 – Arizona Cardinals (LW: 29) – 0-4 since Week 1 and three of those four losses were decided by more than one possession. They are who we thought they were.
30 – Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 30) – Turns out that Justin Herbert is not The Prince Who Was Promised. The Bolts are real bad and the losing will only continue. Next up for them: the Chiefs and the Rams.
31 – Tennessee Titans (LW: 31) – Cam Ward isn’t doing anything to prevent the Titans from taking a quarterback high in the 2027 NFL Draft.
32 – Miami Dolphins (LW: 32) – I’m beginning to think the Dolphins might not win the Super Bowl this season.
