Former UFC champion Robert Whittaker has given his thoughts on being part of the prelim card for UFC 329.
After much deliberation, Robert Whittaker will finally be making his debut in the light heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship at UFC 329. He will go up against veteran Nikita Krylov, and if he can put on an impressive performance, there is every chance that he will vault himself right towards the top of the rankings.

Whittaker is a former champ at 185 pounds, but of course, there are some concerns that he will be undersized when he makes the jump. In addition to fighting at light heavyweight, he will also be competing on the prelim portion of the UFC 329 card as opposed to the main card, which is where we usually see him.
In a recent interview, Whittaker made it clear that it doesn’t bother him all too much.
Whittaker discusses UFC 329 prelims
“Well, it’s different,” Whittaker told Submission Radio. “I haven’t been in a prelim fight for a long time. I don’t know. On paper, intellectually, you look at it, it makes sense-ish. My first move up to 205, coming back after a big layoff. I’m looking forward to getting back in there. Honestly, the silver lining is that I get to get my fight out of the way a little bit earlier.
“I hate those late nights, they kill me a little bit. Honestly, it’s just about getting in there and getting to business. I want to get in there, and I want to execute all of the things that I’ve been working on up until now, I want to feel myself out, I want to feel how the fight feels. Yeah, I’m looking forward to it.”
