The New Orleans Saints are in Paris for a historic showdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL’s first regular-season game in France. Sunday’s matchup at Stade de France gives the Black and Gold an opportunity to showcase their team on an international stage while looking to build momentum heading into their bye week.
New Orleans enters the matchup coming off a 34-27 victory over the New York Giants which snapped a three-game losing streak. Quarterback Tyler Shough threw for four touchdowns in the win, providing a much-needed spark for the Saints’ offense.
Meanwhile, the Steelers will present a tough challenge with veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers leading the way. Pittsburgh’s physical style of play will test New Orleans on both sides of the football, making execution and limiting turnovers especially important.
For the Saints, establishing an offensive rhythm early and getting consistent pressure on Rodgers could be the difference. With New Orleans sitting at 2-4, a victory overseas would provide a much-needed confidence boost and offer a sign that the team is beginning to turn its season around.
