Conor McGregor has said he intends to return to competition after addressing fans for the first time on camera since suffering an injury at UFC 329.

The former two-division UFC champion posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday, his 38th birthday, in which he shared a drink with his wife before turning to the camera to reassure fans that his fighting career is not over. The appearance marked his first direct video message since sustaining the injury.

“We’ll be back. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let’s go,” said McGregor in the video posted on Instagram.

In the accompanying caption, McGregor thanked supporters for their birthday wishes, writing: “Thank you for all the birthday messages everyone! I am 38 years of age today! 38, no hate! Just love.”

McGregor had previously stated on social media that he planned to return to action, but the birthday video was his first on-camera message since the setback, offering a brief update on his recovery.
