What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2027 NFL Draft?
I believe the combination of my strength, size, and athleticism makes me a standout prospect in the 2027 NFL Draft. I take lots of pride in my ability to dominate on the run and in the pass game. I think one of my biggest strengths is that I’m a very coachable athlete, and I absorb information really well. I’m a very competitive and dependable player, and I can confidently say that I have the tools and the mindset to develop into a really good offensive lineman at the next level.
Tell me about a time you faced adversity and how you responded?
My favourite example of overcoming adversity in my career has been the expectation of body composition that comes along with being an offensive lineman. I got recruited as an undersized 235lb center, and with consistent hard work in the gym and in the kitchen, I gained 65 lbs while still maintaining my athleticism and ability to move. It wasn’t something that happened overnight. It took discipline every day with my training, nutrition, recovery, and overall lifestyle. There were definitely times when it was difficult to constantly eat enough and push my body to grow, but I knew that if I wanted to compete at a high level, it was something I had to commit to.
What are your hobbies outside of football?
My hobbies outside of football would mostly consist of cooking and spending time with friends and family.
What role do you see yourself playing at the next level?
As a guy who can effectively and efficiently play all 3 positions on the o line I believe I could be plugged into any system and be a dominant player no matter where.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
If I could donate to one cause, it would be helping give kids from lower-income families access to sports. A program like the Canadian Tire Jump Start Program is such a great cause in my eyes because sports have taught me so much about discipline, teamwork, confidence, and how to respond to adversity. I think every kid should have the opportunity to experience that, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
How do you handle coaching, especially criticism or being corrected repeatedly?
I handle coaching and criticism really well because being corrected is part of getting better. I don’t take criticism personally, especially when I know the coach is trying to help me improve my game. If I’m being corrected repeatedly on the same thing, I look at that as a sign that I need to spend more time working on it rather than getting frustrated with myself or the coach.
Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?
I think the most underrated player on my team is Christian Chukwualli. Christian was named rookie of the year last year; however, his level of skill should’ve put him in all-Canadian conversations.
If you could have dinner with three people, dead or alive, who would it be and why did you choose them?
If I could have dinner with three people, I’d choose Tom Brady, Kobe Bryant, and my grandfather. I’d choose Tom Brady because of the longevity of his career and the standard he held himself to for such a long time. I’d choose Kobe Bryant because of his mentality and how obsessed he was with improving his craft. I think there would be a lot I could learn from the way he approached preparation, competition, and failure. My third choice would be my grandfather because I think it would be meaningful to have the opportunity to hear more about his life, the lessons he learned, and get advice from someone in my own family who has a completely different perspective on life than I do.
If you were benched tomorrow, what would be the most likely reason?
If I were benched tomorrow, the most likely reason would probably be that I started trying to do too much instead of trusting my technique.
Walk me through your typical pre-game routine?
Hypothetically, for an evening game, I would get to the stadium early, make sure to hydrate well before game time, walk the field, and stretch while listening to music. Pretty simple routine, but it gets me in the right headspace.
What is your favourite snack food?
Smucker’s Uncrustables are my favourite snack by far.
What scheme do you feel you fit the best in?
Any kind of gap scheme type of playbook. Power and Counter are my forte.
What is your degree in?
I will graduate with a BA in sociology
What would be the first thing you buy with your first NFL check?
I would most likely invest 85% of it into high-paying dividend stocks, but other than that, I would use the money to buy a house or a place to live.
Describe a time in a game where you feel you made a mistake, and explain how you bounced back?
Missed assignments and missed counts come up sometimes, and they are a natural thing about playing offensive line in a game scenario. The thing that matters most is the next play, so you have to have a goldfish memory and move on from the mistakes. If I miss an assignment, I make sure I understand exactly what went wrong, communicate with the guys around me, and correct it right away. I don’t let one bad play turn into two or three bad plays because I’m still thinking about it. I try to reset mentally, trust my preparation, and play the next snap with confidence.
