The two-time MVP had missed the last three games dealing with an ankle injury, so his return to the lineup was welcome. However, Jackson ended up suffering another injury on his first play back.

The Ravens desperately needed their leader back, as they blew double-digit leads in each of the last two games. Jackson ramped up his practice activity enough to participate in the game on Sunday, and now his status for the future is immediately back in doubt.

Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley has proven to be serviceable in the past, so Baltimore isn’t dead in the water. But it will be hard pressed to beat a high-octane Bills offense considering the Ravens have only scored 23 points in the last two games.

They entered Week 8 with a 4-3 record and a dire need to get the season back on track before it goes sideways like last year. But now they need to pray that Jackson’s injury was nothing more than a scare.
