The 2025-26 New York Knicks are never out of a game.

It doesn’t matter what the score is. How much time is left. Or how daunting the mountain in front of them looks.

They will find a way.

They did it again on Wednesday night, completing the largest comeback in NBA Finals history to stun the San Antonio Spurs with a 107-106 Game 4 win at Madison Square Garden.

The win gives the Knicks a 3-1 series lead and a chance to close out the series and win the NBA championship on Saturday night when the series shifts back to San Antonio for Game 5.

Knicks complete largest comeback in NBA Finals history

At their worst, the Knicks trailed by 29 points in Wednesday’s game.

At halftime, they trailed by 27.

At the start of the fourth quarter, they trailed by 15.

At one point in the fourth quarter, with 9:33 to play, the deficit grew back to 20.

And the Knicks still pulled it off. It is the second time this postseason they pulled off a seemingly miraculous comeback in the fourth quarter, joining their Game 1 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, where they erased a 22-point deficit.

The winning shot came from OG Anunoby when he put back a Jalen Brunson missed three-pointer with 1.2 seconds to play in regulation.

Games like that, and plays like that, and moments like that are the type of thing that help make a team a champion. The Knicks are one win away from officially becoming champions.

The Spurs not only need to figure out a way to bounce back from that, but also win three consecutive games against a Knicks team that has only lost three games the entire postseason and has won 14 of its past 15 games.
