BRIKSER FAMILY PICTURE
Jaquan Brisker entered the NFL in 2022 as a second-round pick by the Chicago Bears. He was a solid player with them for four seasons, including helping win their division last season. However, they let Brisker leave in free agency this offseason and he joined the Steelers. Brisker is from Pittsburgh, so it’s a homecoming for him.
He’s taking full advantage of being home again. ESPN’s Brooke Pryor shared on Twitter that Brisker had a family reunion at Saturday’s training camp practice, with the group taking a picture together. Brisker’s family and friends can be identified by their gold shirts with the safety’s number on it.
CARDINALS SIGN FORMER STEELERS DL
Defensive lineman Brodric Martin signed with the Steelers in November of 2025 and appeared in one game with them. However, he didn’t have much of an impact, getting released a few weeks later. Martin went on to join the Las Vegas Raiders for the rest of the season, but he was waived earlier this offseason.
Now, the Arizona Cardinals announced that they’ve signed Martin. This marks his fifth NFL team. We’ll see if Martin sticks with the Cardinals. Pittsburgh doesn’t play Arizona this season, so Martin won’t have a chance to play his former team if he’s with the Cardinals for 2026.
FALCONS EXTEND OL
The Steelers will face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1 this season. The two teams also faced off in Week 1 of 2024, with the Steelers winning 18-10. While the Falcons have changed a lot since then, they’ve still got some of the same players, including offensive lineman Matthew Bergeron.
NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo shared on Twitter that the Falcons recently gave Bergeron a four-year contract extension worth $96 million. This deal could help provide some of the framework for a potential deal for Mason McCormick. McCormick has two years left on his current deal, but he could look for an extension next offseason. The price for quality NFL guards is continuing to grow.
