UFC bantamweights Ailin Perez and Norma Dumont remain at odds after their controversial fight at UFC Vegas 121.
After a heated buildup ahead of UFC Vegas 121, bantamweight star Ailin Perez defeated Norma Dumont by unanimous decision at the Apex last weekend. Perez has now won seven consecutive fights since dropping her UFC debut in September 2022.
But many believed Perez didn’t deserve the nod over Dumont, despite Perez’s control time and superior grappling. Dumont looked visibly shocked by the official decision, and nearly got into a post-fight altercation with Perez inside the Octagon.
Tensions between Perez and Dumont didn’t de-escalate following UFC Vegas 121, as the two bantamweights traded shots on social media.

In a recent Instagram story post, Perez jabbed Dumont after their fight.
“Thanks for the condoms Norma,” Perez said in a message to Dumont.
“But I did not need to use them to f— you. #SoSorry”
Perez’s comments came after Dumont took to social media to issue her first comments since the controversial defeat.
“I was going at it with her, trading blows and talking trash the whole time,” Dumont said of her loss to Perez.
“She was desperate. She didn’t have a prayer against me. I’m at peace and fully confident that I won. There’s not a shadow of a doubt. She knows it too; that’s why she was so desperate. Honestly, considering the absurd things I’ve seen in MMA regarding results, I didn’t think it would go my way.” (h/t MMA Junkie)
Dumont returned at UFC Vegas 121 looking to bounce back from a loss to Joselyne Edwards in April. Meanwhile, Perez continues to march up the bantamweight rankings with recent wins over Macy Chiasson and Karol Rosa.
