The Cincinnati Bengals (5-2) and the Atlanta Falcons (3-5) are set to face off on Sunday morning in Madrid for the next European game of the 2026 NFL season.
The Bengals lead the all-time series between these teams, 10-5, and have won their most-recent three meetings. They last faced off back in 2022, when the Bengals got a big win home in Cincinnati, 35-17.
One of the storylines in this matchup is former Eagles quarterback Andy Dalton, sitting at the No. 3 QB for the Falcons against the Bengals, which is the team that drafted him in 2011. Dalton chose to sign with Atlanta instead of returning the Eagles practice squad when they released him a few weeks ago, and now he’s facing another former team in Spain.
Dalton is also just the last Philly alumni signed with the Falcons, joining SAF Sydney Brown, WR Jahan Dotson, CB Robert Longerbeam, EDGE Za’Darius Smith, and WR Olamide Zaccheaus. The only former Eagles players for the Bengals are LB Oren Burks and QB2 Joe Flacco.
