It was a perfect weigh-in day on Friday for the fighters scheduled to compete at UFC Vegas 124.
That includes heavyweight headliners Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Johnny Walker. Cortes-Acosta tipped the scales at 262 pounds, while Walker clocked in at 239 pounds. This fight was moved to Saturday’s headliner as Sean Brady suffered an injury and was pulled from a planned showdown with Gabriel Bonfim.
Co-headliners Tatiana Suarez and Virna Jandiroba were also on point for their women’s strawweight battle. Suarez tipped the scales at 115.5 pounds, while Jandiroba’s weight was 116 pounds. Both women are looking to keep their name in the strawweight title picture.
Bantamweights Davey Grant and Elijah Smith both weighed in at 135.5 pounds each. Smith, who happens to be a Dana White’s Contender Series alum, will look to get past the experienced Grant, who is still throwing leather as he nears the age of 41.
Billy Elekana and Lucas Fernando have also made their light heavyweight scrap official. Women’s strawweights Priscila Cachoeira and Nina Milosevic hit their targets, as well as flyweights Mitch Raposo and Marcos Degli.
