Former UFC title challenger Darren Till is the latest to criticize Daniel Cormier’s commentary, labeling him a ‘biased’ analyst.
UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier has been in the crosshairs of many fighters, pundits, and fans lately for his analysis. Former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Dominick Reyes scorched Cormier online after listening to his commentary of his win at UFC 333, leading to a viral back-and-forth.
Former UFC champion Sean O’Malley openly questioned if Cormier disliked him after hearing the Hall of Famer’s recent endorsement of Song Yadong getting a title shot. UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan could potentially face either O’Malley or Yadong for his next title defense.
Many current and former UFC fighters have weighed in on Cormier’s commentary in recent weeks. Former UFC star Darren Till, who parted ways with the promotion in 2023, issued arguably the most abrasive criticism of Cormier yet.
Darren Till becomes the latest to criticize Daniel Cormier’s UFC commentary
In a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Till became the latest to rip Cormier’s UFC commentary.
“I just see right through his b—–. I wouldn’t say it to his face, mind you, because he’s a f—— animal of a fighter. But you can just see through his b——-,” Till said of Cormier.
“Any guy who has the second name ‘Magomedov’, he’s just always biased and doesn’t say what’s on his mind. I can smell that b——- from over here at this corner of the world.
“I’ve got no time for that whatsoever.”
Till labeled Cormier a ‘f—– potato’ for defending Usman Nurmagomedov’s charge into the cage at UFC Shanghai earlier this year. As of this writing, Cormier hasn’t responded to Till’s repeated jabs.
Cormier is expected to serve as a lead analyst at UFC 334 later this month. The card is headlined by a heavyweight title fight between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit.
