The UFC Vegas 123 weigh-ins were nearly perfect.
The lone fighter to miss weight during Friday’s festivities was featherweight Francis Marshall, who was two pounds over the limit for a non-title fight. His opponent, Dakota Hope, clocked in at 145.5 pounds. Marshall will cough up 20 percent of his fight purse.
Fortunately for the UFC brass, the rest of the fighters scheduled for Saturday’s card in Las Vegas made their contracted weights. That includes headliners Renato Moicano and Tom Nolan. Moicano tipped the scales at 156 pounds, while Nolan was 155.5 pounds. That means the UFC Vegas 123 main event is intact just ahead of fight night.
Co-headliners Randy Brown and Jacobe Smith hit the same target for their welterweight collision at 170.5 pounds each. Ode Osbourne and Cody Durden also shared the same weight for their flyweight tilt, both clocking in at 126 pounds.
As for the rest of the main card fighters, Yana Santos and Luana Santos are set to do battle in a women’s bantamweight bout. Yana tipped the scales at 135.5 pounds, while Luana was just a half pound heavier than her opponent. Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani (170.5) and Farman Hasanov (171) will get the UFC Vegas 123 main card started.
