FORMER STEELERS JOIN NEW TEAMS

There’s a lot of player movement around the NFL during this time of year. Teams are in the middle of training camp, and rosters are changing often. There are plenty of former Steelers bouncing around and joining new teams, too.

That includes wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud and running back Trey Sermon. McCloud was with the Steelers from 2020-2021, while Sermon was in Pittsburgh last year. Now, the Chicago Bears have announced that they’ve added McCloud. Meanwhile, reporter Tori McElhaney shared that the Atlanta Falcons have signed Sermon.

The #Bears have signed WR Ray-Ray McCloud III and waived WR Kyron Hudson with an Injury designation.

LAFLEUR RESPECTS MCCARTHY

Mike McCarthy is currently the Steelers’ head coach, but this isn’t his first time leading a team. He was also previously the head coach of the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys. McCarthy spent the bulk of his career with the Packers, including winning a Super Bowl with them. While he was fired before the 2018 season ended, he still did a lot for that franchise.

Matt LaFleur replaced McCarthy as the Packers’ head coach, and he recently gave his predecessor his flowers. Rob Demovsky shared a video on Twitter where LaFleur gushed about McCarthy’s career. The two will face off in a preseason game Thursday night, and while the end results won’t matter too much, it sounds like LaFleur will be honored to face off against McCarthy.

RODGERS AND RUDOLPH PRANK WAR

The Steelers are in the middle of training camp, preparing to make a run at a Super Bowl this year. While the work is hard, players still find creative ways to keep things light. For Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph, that includes pranking each other.

Radio station 93.7 The Fan posted a video on Twitter where Rudolph explained that Rodgers recently pranked some of his teammates by putting bumper stickers on their cars. Rudolph wouldn’t share what they said, but it sounds like there was some adult language involved. However, Rudolph tried to get Rodgers back by placing one of the bumper stickers on his car, although that didn’t work out as well.
