The UFC Vegas 120 weigh-ins didn’t end without a little drama, but fans will be pleased to know the results.
All 24 fighters scheduled for the Meta Apex event ultimately made weight on Friday, but one main card athlete struggled while reaching her target. Amanda Lemos’ final weight for her women’s strawweight bout against Alexia Thainara was 115.5 pounds, but she initially had a scale fail. Her first time tipping the scales revealed that the 22-fight veteran was 117 pounds. A second attempt showed 116.5 pounds, which was still over the limit. Finally, Lemos made weight on her third attempt.
Headliners Mateusz Gamrot and Quillan Salkilld each clocked in at 155.5 pounds for their lightweight battle. Gamrot has suffered marquee losses against the likes of Charles Oliveira and Dan Hooker over the years, but he’s coming off a second-round submission win over Esteban Ribovics back in April. As for the 26-year-old Salkilld, he is looking to continue his quick rise by notching what would be 13th straight win.

The featherweight co-main event between Diego Ferreira and Billy Quarantillo is also official. After nabbing the biggest win of his career against Anthony Pettis back in 2020, Ferreira has gone 2-5 and was stopped in three of those defeats. Quarantillo is facing a potential third loss in a row, so both men are fighting with their backs against the wall.
