Angelo Leo simply shut the door on the Knockout of the 12 months dialog.

With one completely positioned left hand, Leo (25-1, 12 KOs) left Luis Alberto “Venado” Lopez (30-3, 17 Kos) laid out on the canvas and claimed Lopez’s IBF featherweight title at a boxing occasion Saturday.

The ending punch landed a minute into the tenth spherical with each boxers coming ahead. Leo slipped a jab whereas letting his left hand hook fly and linked with most influence on Lopez’s chin. Lopez instantly dropped to the mat, virtually fully devoid of motion.

Referee Ernie Sharif stepped in to manage the usual 10-count, but it surely was apparent that Lopez wouldn’t be recovering from the devastating strike.
