WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon has resigned from his function with TKO Group Holdings, the mother or father firm of WWE and the UFC, amid allegations of sexual assault, trafficking and bodily abuse, in accordance with Deadline’s Dominic Patten.

McMahon stated in an announcement on Friday:

“I stand by my prior assertion that Ms. Grant’s lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up situations that by no means occurred, and is a vindictive distortion of the reality. I intend to vigorously defend myself towards these baseless accusations, and look ahead to clearing my identify.

McMahon’s resignation comes after former WWE worker Janel Grant filed a federal lawsuit on Thursday accusing the now former WWE government of sexually abusing her and trafficking her to others throughout the promotion, per Khadeeja Safdar of the Wall Avenue Journal.
