Joey Logano did not maintain again any of his ideas about Austin Dillon after a collision on the ultimate lap at Richmond on Sunday.
“Clearly he did not make the flip as a result of he hit me and the [Denny Hamlin] was going to win the race,” Logano mentioned. “…I’ve crushed him truthful and sq. within the restart and he simply pulls a rooster s–t transfer. He is a chunk of crap. He sucks. He is sucked his complete profession. And now he will be within the playoff. Good for him, I suppose.”

Logano was coming across the ultimate flip and had a car-length lead on Dillon, however Dillon bumped his automobile and compelled him to spin out. Dillon then took out Denny Hamlin to win the race.

It is protected to say Logano wasn’t a fan of Dillon’s actions.

After the race, Dillon admitted that he acted out of desperation to maintain his playoff hopes alive on Sunday.
“I do not know man, it has been two years and that is the primary automobile I’ve had a shot to win,” Dillon mentioned on NBC (h/t Yahoo Sports activities’ Nick Bromberg). “I felt like with two to go, we had been the quickest automobile … I hate to do this however generally you simply acquired to have it. I’ve to thank the nice Lord above. It has been powerful during the last two years, man. I care about [Richard Childress Racing], my spouse, and that is my first … it means so much. I hate it, however I needed to do it.”
Dillon’s workforce even inspired him to take the drastic lengths to realize the win, per The Athletic’s Jeff Gluck. The 34-year-old driver is the grandson of Richard Childress, proprietor of Richard Childress Racing.
