SYDNEY – Think about UFC 293 combat week formally underway.

On Monday (Tuesday regionally), UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, heavyweight Tai Tuivasa and extra took half in a welcome ceremony with the Gadigal folks of the Eora nation on the Barangaroo Reserve. The smoking ceremony, a centuries previous Aboriginal customized, is obtainable to guests crossing into their native lands.

UFC 293 takes place Saturday at Qudos Financial institution Area. The principle card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPNews/ESPN+ and early prelims on ESPN+.
