Longtime UFC Octagon announcer Bruce Buffer helped ring in the launch of Baseball in Sin City earlier this week, ahead of UFC White House.
Bruce Buffer is best known for being the voice of the Octagon, but he might transition into another sport once professional baseball comes to Las Vegas full-time.
Buffer, who has been with the UFC almost since its inaugural event, will serve as the cage announcer this weekend for UFC Freedom 250. Ahead of the unprecedented event, Buffer enjoyed some brief downtime from Mixed Martial Arts to help Las Vegas welcome the Athletics for their first games in the city.
The Athletics are playing in Las Vegas for their current home series against the Milwaukee Brewers, one of the best teams in Major League Baseball right now. To ring in Baseball in Sin City, the Athletics brought Buffer aboard to be a big part of the experience.

Buffer has taken on other challenges during his announcing career. Ahead of Super Bowl 58 in 2024, Buffer announced the arrivals of the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl Media Day in Las Vegas.
The Athletics are expected to move full-time to Las Vegas in 2028, when the city’s new ballpark is expected to be completed. The current series is being played at Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin, just outside of the Las Vegas strip.
Less than two years away from Baseball in Las Vegas, Buffer could potentially get more reps at the ballpark and be a key piece of the franchise’s inaugural season in Sin City.
