DENVER — San Diego Padres star third baseman Manny Machado left Sunday’s 8-3 loss to the Colorado Rockies after injuring his left ankle whereas taking a tumble at first base attempting to beat out an infield grounder.
Machado’s leg appeared to show awkwardly whereas he was working to first base within the high of the primary inning. He struggled to place weight on the ankle as he was helped off the sector. Machado was later identified with an ankle sprain after X-rays got here again unfavorable.
