Main League Baseball settled a federal lawsuit and two fits in New York state court docket Thursday that have been filed by minor league groups who now not have main league affiliations, in keeping with The Athletic’s Evan Drellich.

Due to the settlement, MLB avoids a possible Supreme Court docket problem to its antitrust exemption that has been in place for over 100 years, relationship again to a Supreme Court docket resolution from 1922.

James W. Quinn, a lawyer for the groups that sued the league, mentioned {that a} settlement had been reached in all three instances however that the phrases of the settlement are confidential.

MLB declined Drellich’s request for a remark.
