BRISTOL, Conn. — Mickey Mouse and lots of of Disney’s iconic characters shall be a part of the NBA’s first animated alt-cast on Christmas Day.

Disney and ESPN introduced Wednesday that the Dec. 25 recreation between the San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks shall be on ESPN2, Disney+ and ESPN+ as “Dunk the Halls.”

Despite the fact that that is the primary time with the NBA, ESPN has carried out alternate animated broadcasts for NFL and NHL video games.

The telecast shall be fully animated, with the gamers’ actions in sync with what is occurring in actual time on the courtroom. That is carried out by way of player-tracking information enabled by Sony’s Hawk-Eye Improvements’ optical monitoring system and Past Sports activities.

The animated model of the sport shall be set on iconic “Predominant Road, USA” in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort. Photographs of “Predominant Road, USA” and different well-known landmarks inside the park shall be often proven, together with Cinderella’s Fort.

The normal broadcast will air on ABC and ESPN.
