Dana White was not sure if Jon Jones will retire after UFC 309
Earlier than Jon Jones was even formally booked to struggle at UFC 309, there was hypothesis that he would retire after the occasion. Nevertheless, after UFC 304, Dana White stated he was not sure if Jones would retire after the bout, as he is aware of there are many large cash fights left for him.
“Jon Jones is not any dummy,” White stated on the UFC 304 post-fight press convention. “Jon Jones has a really excessive struggle IQ. He is aware of what Aspinall’s acquired and what he’s about. I feel we’re going to should see what occurs on this struggle with Stipe, see the place Jon’s head is. Or, if Stipe wins, see the place his head is and see what they need to do. Is it their final struggle? Are they going to retire?
“I feel if Stipe wins, he most likely will (retire). However I feel if Jon Jones wins, I simply suppose that (the) aggressive spirit that he has and his need to show to the world that he’s the perfect (will make him struggle). Particularly when individuals are saying that (Aspinall) might probably be the perfect ever. I feel that’s the sort of sh*t that fires Jon Jones up,” White added.
Jones is at present 27-1 and one NC as a professional and coming off the submission win over Ciryl Gane.
