After years and years and YEARS of MLB followers calling for the league to eliminate much-criticized umpire Angel Hernandez, the person who’s been the main focus of a lot ire is completed with baseball.
Per USA TODAY Sports’ Bob Nightengale: “Ángel Hernández, the polarizing veteran umpire who has drawn the wrath and exasperation from gamers, managers and followers alike over three many years, is retiring Tuesday from Main League Baseball, a high-ranking baseball official instructed USA TODAY Sports activities. … MLB and Hernández had spent the previous two weeks negotiating a monetary settlement earlier than reaching a decision over the weekend.”
Hernandez made horrible call after horrible call in his tenure, with ejections of all sorts infuriating everybody everywhere in the recreation, and whereas there have been different instances of umpires who’ve drawn ire, it had gotten to the purpose with Hernandez the place he was the poster child of bad refereeing in sports activities.
