A.R. Rahman who debuted as music composer in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Roja’ in 1992 instantly tasted stardom and in no time became India’s most celebrated music creator. He made the country proud by earning twin Oscars for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ directed by Danny Boyle in 2008 and remains much sought after in Hollywood too.
After scoring music for several Hollywood films Rahman took break as his mother Kareema Begum was ill and decided to spend quality time with her in their Chennai home. After an eight-year battle, Kareema Begum passed away on December 28th.
It is now reported in American media that Rahman is all set to make a comeback there and has signed interesting projects which will be announced soon. Meanwhile ’99 Songs’ written and produced by the maestro is expected to release soon through Jio worldwide.
