UFC lightweight contender Mauricio Ruffy’s former foe, Michael Chandler, predicts a stunning finish in the UFC 331 co-main event.
A potential No. 1 contender fight between lightweights Arman Tsarukyan and Mauricio Ruffy co-headlines UFC 331 on Saturday in Los Angeles. Tsarukyan, the UFC’s top lightweight contender, will look to secure another title shot against the rising star Ruffy.

The Tsarukyan vs. Ruffy winner will likely face reigning lightweight champion Justin Gaethje after UFC 331. Ruffy, who has earned recent wins over Rafael Fiziev and Michael Chandler, is considered one of the most dangerous strikers in the division.
Many suspect Tsarukyan will get the fight to the ground against Ruffy and put the talented Brazilian in all kinds of trouble in the Octagon. But one of Ruffy’s biggest rivals believes UFC 331 is set up for an upset.
Michael Chandler predicts Mauricio Ruffy will finish Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 331
In a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, UFC lightweight contender Michael Chandler was asked for his thoughts on Ruffy vs. Tsarukyan.
“Arman is one of those guys where he’s good, stays busy, putting himself out there…he has a very, very good recipe to beat Mauricio Ruffy for sure. But can he implement that game plan? I think Ruffy catches him with a couple of big shots,” Chandler said of Ruffy.
“Arman is obviously going to go for the takedown, because he’s not going to stand with Ruffy. Going to put the pressure on him, but I wasn’t able to do that…but I think Ruffy has some momentum on his side and Arman’s got some ring rust…
“Mauricio Ruffy is good, and I think he’s better than a lot of people think he is,” Chandler concluded about Ruffy. “So I’ve got Ruffy in that one.”
