All 32 NFL teams established their initial 53-man rosters and practice squads earlier this week. Teams will continue to add and subtract from their rosters, but here is a snapshot of where ex-Steelers are playing just before the start of the 2026 regular season.
This time last year, I found 33 former Steelers on active rosters. Teams tucked away 14 more on practice squads and placed two on a reserve list. This initial list will have changes throughout the season. This does not count players who appeared only on preseason 90-man rosters. Just 53-man rosters, practice squads, or reserve lists after final cutdowns.
This year, I found 32 former Steelers on other teams’ current 53-man rosters. Seven former Steelers show up on practice squads and nine are on injured reserve. Trades, free agent signings, and injuries will change the following tables throughout the season.
