Dunbar Reunion
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ defensive line and front seven reunited with former longtime defensive line coach Karl Dunbar ahead of Friday’s preseason game versus the New York Jets. The group took a photo with Dunbar, now the d-line coach of the New York Jets, after the game.
T.J. Watt, Derrick Harmon, Alex Highsmith, Nick Herbig, Keeanu Benton, Yahya Black, and Jack Sawyer joined in.
Heyward, Watt, and Highsmith also had dinner with Dunbar the night before as shared by comedian Tony Roberson on Instagram.
Dunbar served as Pittsburgh’s defensive line coach from 2018-2025, replacing the legendary John Mitchell. Pittsburgh hired Domata Peko as his replacement, making for just the third defensive line coach Heyward has had in his 16 year career.
1933 Club Tour
New this year to Acrisure Stadium is the ‘1933 Club.’ An exclusive speakeasy style lounge, DJ Bonics recently shared a tour of the new space. It offers plenty of food, a bar, a big screen TV, and access directly next to the player’s tunnel allowing fans to watch Steelers’ players take the field.
Per the team website, the club is only available to season ticket holders. The space is also available for rent on non-gamedays.
Pittsburgh will open up the 2026 season at home for just the second time since 2015.
Eagles Player Okay After Scary Injury
Philadelphia Eagles running back is okay after a scary injury during the opening kickoff of Saturday’s preseason game against the New England Patriots. Jackson was injured making a tackle and laid motionless on the field for several minutes before being put on a stretcher and into an ambulance.
Shortly after, the Eagles’ Twitter/X account posted Jackson had feeling and movement in all his extremities.
Eagles RB Ja’Quinden Jackson has strength and movement in all extremities and is being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.

The team later announced Jackson was returning to Philadelphia to join the rest of his teammates.
An undrafted free agent out of Arkansas in 2025, Jackson has yet to appear in a regular season game. The Steelers hosted Jackson for a tryout in late July but did not sign him.
