We’ve updated our Consensus Power Rankings and one ranking stood out. The Commanders are listed as the 29th best team in the league according to NFL.com. Have we not forgot that this team played in the NFC Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles just 2 years ago?
Now that was just one year and in the last 26 years they’ve only been to the playoffs 5 times but still. When Jayden Daniels is healthy, and he has his weapons, this team is a 8-10 win team.
In addition to their potent offense they have sured up a lot of positions on defense, to include the coveted rookie Sonny Styles. The addition of Stefon Diggs is also promising for this team to be successful.
Even with Marcus Mariota, this team is not 29th and more like low 20’s or a little higher. Now, they do have a very tough schedule but even then they are around a .500 team or better. I think this ranking is somewhat disrespectful and I full expect the Commanders to play well above that 29th ranking as we start this 2026 season.
