UFC boss Dana White has given his thoughts on Islam Makhachev’s greatest of all time ranking after his win at UFC 330.
In the main event of UFC 330, Islam Makhachev won his 17th straight fight with the promotion to break Anderson Silva’s incredible 16-fight win streak record. He did so with a solid win over Ian Machado Garry, during which he had to overcome some adversity against the challenger.

Makhachev has been in there with some of the very best throughout the course of his mixed martial arts career but 99% of the time, he has been able to get his hand raised.
This has left some to wonder where Makhachev stands in the greatest of all time discussion, with Dana White having the following to say on the matter.
White’s view on Makhachev’s GOAT status
“Well, I don’t know what your opinion is, meaning all of you, but if he didn’t have that one loss on his record, it would almost be a no brainer. This kid wants to fight all the time, stays active, and after what he did tonight, he talks about 3-4 more fights. So, I think what you do is you just let this guy’s career play out. It’s almost like what I keep saying about Zuffa Boxing, judge us at the end of this year, January of 2027.
“When Islam’s career is winding up, and starting to wrap up, you know, the more fights he keeps winning and the records he keeps breaking, it’ll all speak for itself.”
The welterweight division is looking particularly stacked right now and nobody will know that better than Islam Makhachev. If he can, in fact, continue to knock off contenders like this, his position on the Mount Rushmore of the UFC is almost impossible to deny.
