Tony Romo was allegedly uncooperative with cops after his arrest in Wisconsin last week.

Court records viewed by The California Post on Monday show the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback has been issued one citation for “refusing to take test for intoxication after arrest” stemming from his July 23 run-in with police in Milwaukee.

A copy of the citation was not made immediately available, and a request seeking comment from Romo’s attorney, Julius Kim, was not returned.

Romo was pulled over on an interstate shortly after he had completed a round at the Wisconsin Amateur Championship golf tournament. The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office wrote in an arrest report that the 46-year-old was taken into custody and booked on a charge of operating while intoxicated, first offense after performing poorly on standardized field sobriety tests.

A spokesperson for the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office told The Post on Monday that because of the allegations against Romo, the case is “a traffic violation and not a criminal charge in Wisconsin.”

Romo, who’s yet to publicly address the arrest, has been given a court date of Sept. 21.

Over the weekend, Romo withdrew from a scheduled appearance at the M&P Group Texas State Open, which is slated to begin on Tuesday.

Romo played in the NFL from 2004 to 2016 and in retirement, he signed on to broadcast games for CBS. In 2020, he inked a 10-year deal worth $180 million with the network.

It’s not yet known if CBS has plans to discipline Romo for the arrest.
