Florida State has landed a second dedication out of the NCAA Switch Portal and it is a title that the fanbase could be very accustomed to.
On Thursday, Arizona State tight finish switch Markeston Douglas introduced he was returning to Tallahassee. Douglas spent the 2024 season with the Solar Devils however beforehand performed for Florida State for 4 seasons. He is anticipated to have one season of eligibility remaining.

Douglas appeared in all 13 video games for the Solar Devils this fall, catching one go for 3 yards. He contributed off the bench for Arizona State, enjoying 231 snaps on offense.
The Tennessee native signed with Florida State as a three-star prospect in Mike Norvell’s inagural recruiting class with this system in 2020. After two seasons as a reserve, Douglas entered the rotation as a redshirt sophomore.
From 2022-23, Douglas appeared in 26 video games, with 5 begins, and caught 25 passes for 326 yards and 4 touchdowns. Douglas reeled within the go-ahead landing go in FSU’s eventual victory in opposition to Oklahoma within the 2022 Cheez-It Bowl. He is a prepared blocker who helped the Seminoles in that class.
Florida State has two scholarship tight ends eligible to return to the roster in 2025; sophomore Landen Thomas, and sophomore Amaree Williams. Jackson West, Brian Courtney, and Jerrale Powers all transferred from this system.
The Seminoles signed four-star Chase Loftin through the Early Signing Interval.
Douglas is the second switch dedication for Florida State, becoming a member of former Boston School quarterback Thomas Castellanos.
