Almost a 12 months after the Las Vegas Aces ended their hopes for a WNBA championship, the New York Liberty returned the favor on Sunday.
The Liberty defeated the Aces 76-62 in Recreation 4 of the WNBA Semifinals to win the sequence 3-1 and attain the WNBA Finals for the second straight 12 months. The loss ends Las Vegas’ bid for a 3rd straight WNBA title.
Star guard Sabrina Ionescu led the best way for New York with 22 factors, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. She linked on 5 of her eight three-pointers. Breanna Stewart added 19 factors, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks, whereas Jonquel Jones had 14 factors and 6 rebounds.
2024 WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson led the Aces with 19 factors, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks, whereas Kelsey Plum added 17 factors.
The Liberty entered the fourth quarter with only a two-point lead earlier than outscoring the Aces 23-11 within the body to place the sport away.

The Liberty await the winner of the second WNBA semifinal sequence between the Minnesota Lynx and Connecticut Solar. The Lynx maintain a 2-1 lead coming into Sunday’s Recreation 4.
New York will return to motion in Recreation 1 of the WNBA Finals on Thursday.
